Srečajo se pod drevesom, plešejo, plezajo, letijo in skupaj padajo …
Viseč za lase, stoječ visoko na stopalih drugega ali vrteč se v divjem krogu – ti trije liki vas bodo presenetili od korenin do krošnje!
»Zdaj, ko so trije, nadaljujejo z večjo zagnanostjo. Rdeči duh prevzame vodstvo po vzpenjajočih se poteh, ki jih Drevo privoli poučiti.
Ko dosežejo drugi krog vej, jih ogovori vrabec:
»Kako visoko se še nameravate povzpeti, prijatelji?«
»Čisto do vrha – in še dlje!«
»Res … ali vas ni strah, kaj boste tam našli?«
Otrok, starec in duh se spogledajo, nato pa izbruhnejo v dolg, radosten smeh: vprašanje, ki prihaja od ptice, komajda ne vsebuje kančka ironije.«
